Touch ID and Pass code.

When setting up my touch ID and pass code I’ve experienced the following.
If I want to set up a finger print I have to first disable the pass code. After I turn it off, I can add my finger.
After adding my finger, I am asked to redo my pass code.
If I want to add another finger, I have to do the process over again.
When setting up my iPhone 6, if I followed the prompts and set up the finger print then pass code, as ask, it goes without a hitch.
Last, when updating to iOS 8, I’ve found that turning off the finger print and pass code makes this process smoother.
Anyone else have these experience?

Actually no. I have gone through and redone my fingerprints several times to get it right, so I can open it with either thumb or either index finger. Took some time doing. But I haven't had issues with the pass code. But my iPhone 6 is the only device I have that supports this.

So, you don't have to redo your 4 digit code each time?
Maybe, it's my dirty fingers? Lol

I haven't had this issue, either. I'm using a 5S, and didn't have this with either iOS 7, or when I upgraded to 8 last week. Maybe it's an iPhone 6 thing?

nope, on the iPhone 6 plus, you need to enter yr pass code, when you go in to
the touch ID menu, but that's it really. from that point, adding new fingers is
easy, as is moving them.

Never tried moving one, but yes, during the add phase, I tried and shifted the grip around as much as I could.
I don't know if you've had fingerprints taken in real life, but they try and take prints from as many angles as possible.

I've not had the issue with my 5S. I'm going to add another finger later and see if the 8.2 upgrade solves this.
It isn't hard what I describe, just seemed not necessary.

I don't have it anymore. After installing 8.2 it went away.
Just another Apple. Lol
